RX8 5 Speed Hydraulic Concentric Release Kit

A kit to convert what is normally an externally mounted slave cylinder on the RX8 5 speed gearbox to a hydraulic concentric release. 

These are now billet machined aluminium instead of mild steel offering a slight weight saving whilst improving quality.

With many cars there are clearance issues with the external cylinder hitting the gearbox tunnel and therefore changing to a concentric cylinder that fits inside the gearbox, more clearance is gained between the gearbox and gearbox tunnel.

This kit is setup to suit the 90mm clutch height on a pinto or Zetec that is using an 1800 flywheel and pinto clutch, steel race flywheel and pinto clutch.

PLEASE CHECK YOUR CLUTCH HEIGHT BEFORE ORDERING AS SHIMS MAY BE REQUIRED  

For other engines or different clutch heights plus get in touch before ordering to confirm the mounting plate spacer length.

The kit contains the following parts:

• Mounting plate
• 4 off Mounting bolts for bolting the mounting plate to the bellhousing
• 3 off Mounting bolts for bolting the slave cylinder to the mounting plate
• Hydraulic concentric slave cylinder with bearing

These have a single feed and bleed port so an inline tee piece with bleed nipple works best for removing any air. We sell these as a kit and can be found here.
