MX5 NC 5 Speed Cable Clutch Fork Conversion

A fabricated clutch fork and pivot bracket for converting the 5 speed Mazda MX5 NC N7 gearbox from hydraulic actuation to cable to suit a cable pedal box.

The clutch fork accepts the standard Mk1 and Mk2 Escort style clutch cable end. The cable can be easily adjusted with the 2 nuts on it that pass through the mounting lug on the adaptor plate.

The kit contains a bracket that fixes into the gearbox bellhousing utilising existing bolt holes but is supplied with new 5mm longer bolts to account for the thickness of the bracket.

The standard Mazda release bearing is used with this conversion kit.

The fitting guide is also shown below giving details of where to cut the hole in the side of the gearbox.

This will not work with a twin plate clutch.
